Terms

Terms of Use

Plain-language terms for using Exorbit Space's educational content and interactive tools.

Use of content

What you may rely on

Educational purpose

All simulations, atlases, and calculators are for education and general reference. They use published catalog values and simplified propagation suitable for learning - not for navigation, mission operations, or any safety-critical use.

Accuracy effort, no warranty

Content follows the site's model-verification standard, but is provided 'as is' without warranties. Always verify mission-critical figures against primary agency sources (NASA, ESA, ISRO, JAXA, CNSA, Roscosmos).

Personal and classroom use

You are welcome to link to any page and to use screenshots and excerpts for teaching, study, and commentary with attribution to exorbit.space.

Third-party materials

Credits and licenses

3D models

Several spacecraft and planet models are by third-party artists via Sketchfab under CC-BY-4.0 (including works by Mieke Roth, uperesito, Ignazio Pillitteri, and SebastianSosnowski). Full credits ship alongside each model's license file under /assets/models/.

Open-source software

The site uses open-source libraries including three.js (MIT) and MathJax (Apache-2.0), served from this domain.

Data sources

Ephemeris and mission data derive from public agency sources such as NASA JPL Horizons; news headlines come from the Spaceflight News API and are shown as headlines only.

House rules

Acceptable use

Do not scrape at rates that degrade the service, misrepresent the site as your own, or present its educational approximations as certified engineering data.

These terms may be updated as the site evolves; the "last updated" date above changes when they do. Questions: admin@exorbit.space.
